AirRofan - fly like an eagle.

An experience that releases lots of adrenaline – and is completely safe – a must for all daredevils. The Skygliders “AirRofan” is a popular attraction on the Rofan.

You could almost think you were hanging in the clutches of a gigantic eagle as it shifts into reverse: The view falls down into the valley while you are securely attached to an 800-metre-long rope and pulled 200 meters up towards the Gschöllkopf. And then it really gets going: at around 85 kilometers per hour, you race back to the starting point on the “AirRofan” Skyglider. An experience that releases plenty of adrenaline – and is completely safe.

Arrival

You can reach the Rofan from the hotel via the Inntal highway. The valley station of the Rofanbahn is located directly on Achenseestraße in the village of Maurach. There are plenty of parking spaces available. It takes just five minutes to get from 980 to 1,840 m to the mountain station. The mountain station is located in the immediate vicinity of the Erfurter Hütte and the Berggasthof Rofan.

Alpine Coaster Imst.

The start of the summer tobogganing fun is right at the middle station of the Imster Bergbahnen at 1500 m. The first surprises await after just a few meters: Waves, steep bends and rapid turns await the breathless passenger. But there’s more fun to come: the “jumps” in particular, with a gradient of up to 6 meters, have it all!

Alone or in a two-seater, the Alpine Coaster takes you over hill and dale. And the panorama also has a lot to offer: Nature experience and action spectacle form a great combination along the Imst alpine roller coaster.

Facts & Figures.

  • Route length: 3,535 m

Witches’ water Hochsöll

In the wet and cheerful “Hexenwasser” adventure park on the Hohe Salve in Söll/Hochsöll, even the children forget that they didn’t actually want to go hiking.

The main attraction of the Hexenwasser is the 450-metre-long “Hexenwasser” water trail from the source at Gasthof Hochsöll to the Stöcklalm. Water channels, a water labyrinth, climbing ponds, a barefoot path and stone mills – more than 60 stations in total – allow children to experience all kinds of adventures and never get bored. The water is never more than 30 cm deep – everything is child-friendly – so the little ones can let off steam to their heart’s content.

In the meantime, parents can relax in the Kneipp pool or have their reflex zones massaged on Austria’s longest “barefoot path” over stones, grass and mulch. Another highlight is the magnificent panoramic view from the “Hohe Salve” to 70 three-thousand-meter peaks! The unique distant view is made even more interesting by Austria’s first rotating panoramic terrace, 15 sundial stations (history of time) and a wind harp.

Cave trekking Zillertal.

Easy cave hike

Wearing a helmet and raincoat, you enter an illuminated section of the Spannagel Cave. You get a great impression of the cave and can get an idea of its dimensions. The guided tours explain clearly how the cave was formed.

Cave trekking adventure

The cave trekking in the Spannagel cave is offered summer and winter! You enter deep into the cave system and, depending on the tour, you abseil, climb and crawl in the cave and ride a Flying Fox over deep shafts. A first-class experience for sporty people without great claustrophobia. The cave itself is beautiful and has everything you could wish for: Stalagmites, stalactites, colored marble, sinter formations, crystals, etc. So far, 10 km of the Spannagel Cave have been explored, but it is assumed that only a ‘small’ part has been explored. You can climb through a part of it and be amazed.

Ice cave at 3,250m

Few years ago, an ice cave was discovered just below the summit of the Hintertux Glacier. On closer inspection, it was discovered that the cave winds its way deep into the Hintertux Glacier and can also be explored. Since then, there have been guided tours of the constantly changing ice palace, located up to 25 m below the ski slopes, where you can enter a crystalline world that is second to none. Glittering ice crystals, bizarre ice formations, deep chasms and small glacial lakes amaze the eye of the beholder. A natural phenomenon not to be missed.

Mega abseil - 120 vertical meters!

The adrenaline kick in the Zillertal! If you sign up to abseil, you shouldn’t be afraid of heights, because here you can descend a whopping 120 meters into the gorge! The good news is that you don’t have to climb down the steep rock face yourself, but are lowered into the gorge by a guide on a kind of cable car. So you can enjoy the airy view and the impressive gorge to the full. Then it’s a 30-minute walk through the stream bed back to civilization.

Tubing - tube riding

For all those who enjoy being in the water and are looking for an alternative to canyoning or rafting, we recommend our tubing tour. Fun and action for the whole family! Each participant gets their own tube and off they go through the rapids of a torrent. Beforehand, of course, there is an extensive briefing and the correct behavior on the tube and in the water is trained. Then it’s off through the white water passages of the beautiful Zemmschlucht gorge in the rear Zillertal valley.

Tandem flight over Mayrhofen

Paragliders and hang-gliders from all over Europe make a pilgrimage to the beautiful Zillertal. Why? The prevailing flying conditions and the breathtaking mountain panorama are simply damn good! Take the opportunity to experience the Zillertal from a bird’s eye view.

A tandem paragliding flight is an unforgettable experience for young and old. You take off from Penken, Mayrhofen’s local mountain. Together with the pilot, you take the gondola up to almost 2,100 m, then you only have to run a few steps and you take off together with the pilot. The landing is as smooth as butter and no effort at all for the passenger. Soaring high above the Zillertal is an experience that is hard to put into words, so you should definitely try it out for yourself! The team consists exclusively of local pilots who know the area and the weather. At this place work professionals who have many years of flying and usually even competition experience. For children from 4 years.

Then yougo to the basic platform at 12.5m and from there you keep going on the Mammut Tour. With the first exercise, the Nepal Bridge, you go to a height of 17m for the remaining 2.5 hours. The exercises are divided into different triangles, i.e. each triangle has an easy or difficult exercise. This tour also includes 2 partner exercises and the final jump or swing from a height of 17m. The Mammut Tour is suitable for anyone over 1.45m tall.
